The Chalets of Queyras have a simple story .......

For Geneviève, Queyras, is her homeland.  The CHAPPELIER family has been there for more than 400 years, with ancestors having known the severity of "7 months of winter, 5 months of hell". 

There are those who combine in our memories and in our hearts: Armand, Marie and Jean David. Without forgetting, Margot who is there to see us grow.

Without them the Chalets of Queryas would not be here today. 

Since 2004, Geneviève and Philippe wanted to share the discovery of Queyras to their guests, with the realisation of the Chalets of Queyras. It is a genuine return to a homeland with the wish to work there.  

Our journey is based on the dynamics linked to the activities of tourism, while preserving the natural heritage and landscape, which introduced itself to the wider world almost thirty years ago with the creation of the Regional Nature Park of Queyras by Mr P. Lamour.  It is our goal to play our part in adding to this success.

The Chalets of Queyras have been built by Philippe, on our family's land, using traditional methods, celebrating the use of wood. Passionate and commited, every piece of wood has passed through his hands : meticulous and painstaking work. 

Helped and supported by Geneviève, Philippe shouldered the responsibility for all tasks necessary for the complete construction and finishing of the chalets.

Our chalets are dedicated to the relaxation and well being of our clients - charm, authenticity,  and "the art of living". Each of our chalets with its own distinct decoration invites you to discover a unique ambiance: traditional winter sports, ancent literature, vintage wood-work tools, cow-bells ...  

Here and there, objects from bygone years - the authenticity of a lost time finally found....    

Geneviève and Philippe are there from your arrival : a warm welcome, friendliness, a cosy and comfortable atmosphere are the order of the day at the Chalets of Queyras.
